A presentation from MLL telecom in our recent event highlights the rules and the requirements from regulation during Small Cells deployments. The regulation hurdles are higher in Europe compared to most other parts due to strict requirements to make sure its not going to affect the character of an area and at the same time not to cause any damage to health and environment. ReplyDeleteI have to wonder what the technology and capabilities were in each case of the two examples. I'm guessing one may have been 5W multi-sector and perhaps multi-techno while the other was lower power Wi-Fi. So the camparison might be a bit apples and oranges(?) Nonetheless, the left hand example certainly wasn't aesthetically pleasing and indeed illustrates how much further things need to improve.
ReplyDeleteI think coverage footprint and reachability will improve with the increase in permissible mast height and aggregate dish size and will benefit SP of course with GPDO licensing. Thanks for sharing this info.
